What is Catertec?

Who uses Catertec?
Caterec is a sophisticated tool used to manage catering, hospitality and special event companies.  It is available as a single or multi-user solution for either Windows or MAC users.

Can I build orders quickly?
Yes.  Catertec allows you to pre-build your most common menus.  By selecting the meal you want, you can easily just update the quantities and omit any unnecessary items all within a few simple keystrokes.

Can I view customers previous orders?
Yes.  By looking up the customer, you can easily view previous orders.  Previous orders can also quickly be duplicated for their next event.

How does Catertec help with production?
As orders are being created, they are simultaneously updating all kitchen and back of the house production reports.  Reports can be run at any time to give a complete list of products needed to fulfill all orders for the day or week.  There is also a production grid that shows you how much of certain items you are making within the week.

Is there a lot of duplicate data entry?
No.  Catertec uses sophisticated scripting technology to allow you to easily duplicate orders, move proposals to active orders or ship to common addresses. 

Will Catertec manage my event?
Yes.  Catertec allows you to manage staff, bar, rentals and outside vendors.  It automatically updates contracts and proposals.  You can even issue purchase orders right from the system.
